The Southern Utah Art Guild is proud to present its Fall Art Show that will through through October 25th in the Red Cliff Gallery. The show theme is “Color Explosion”.
The show features 165 works of art from 54 Southern Utah Artists. The show features contemporary art from all mediums including all forms of painting and mixed media, photography, pottery, sculpture and other. The art is a blend of whimsical / fantastical pieces to landscape / still life / pure abstract paintings, and a variety of 3 dimensional pieces. The show is a blend of small and large pieces that will meet any taste or budget. All the art is for sale.
The award winners are:
Best of Show: Ken Church for ‘Snake in Flowers” – Acrylic
First Place: Shirley Smith from “Blast” – Photography
Second Place: Emily Martinez for “Colorful Mind” – Ceramic
Third Place: Eddi Malloy for “Canyon Wall” – Acrylic
Victoria Denning for “Tied at the Hip” – Acrylic
Deann Rex-Free for “Lavender Field” – Acrylic
Glen Martin for “Burst of Color” – Photography
Gayla Folkman from “Fall’s Exuberant Color” – Watercolor
John Mangels for “Color Explosion” – Acrylic
Kirk Mangus for “Mudslinger” – Wood
The judge for the show was Carmen Gentry, owner of the business Gentry Music and Art in St. George.
The winner of the peoples choice award for the "Only Abstraction" show was Brandi Mostowy for her painting "Vejle".
The show is open from 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
